- 2.2 Million Total Square Feet
The Challenge
Multi-dwelling units (MDUs) require networks that can readily accommodate high-density demands. Residents of Park West, a luxury 3,400-bed student housing complex, expect seamless connectivity across thousands of devices. Synergy Fiber faced a tight deadline to install and run all IT services for 15 buildings spanning 47 acres.
The network needed to support much more than just video games; it had to power security cameras, building automation, and high-performance academic research—all while providing students with a "home-away-from-home" Wi-Fi experience.

Smart Solution
Synergy Fiber deployed a single-vendor, enterprise-class Ruckus infrastructure for a managed end-to-end network.
- Ruckus R610 & H510 Indoor APs
- Ruckus T-Series Outdoor APs
- ICX Stackable Switching
- SmartZone Virtual Controller
Implementation & Performance
Using a precision heat map, Synergy Fiber determined optimal placement for Ruckus APs to ensure students receive peak performance. Ruckus’ BeamFlex+ adaptive antenna technology creates more spatial streams, which correlates directly to higher performance in high-density environments.
High Availability
Stacking capabilities like hitless failover and ISSU combined with dual redundant links ensure 24/7 reliability.
Smart Campus Integration
Integrating access control, video surveillance, and energy management into a single unified network.
The result is a network supporting up to 1900Mbps data rates. Residents can move seamlessly between unit bedrooms, common gaming lounges, and outdoor pools without ever losing their connection or needing to re-authenticate.
